This is our third installment of our 2020 Leadership Team testimonies. We asked our Vice President of Recruitment, Abrianna Belvedere, to tell us a little bit about her job in the sorority, what it was like to receive her bid, and some of her favorite memories in Delta Phi Epsilon!
Hey y’all hey! My name is Abrianna Belvedere! I’m in DPhiE’s 2019 Member Class, the Dancing Queens, which is fitting because Mamma Mia is one of my absolute favorite movies! I’m so happy to be serving as the Vice President of Recruitment (VPR) in 2020! As VPR, I’m in charge of planning recruitment and public relations. I had such an amazing time getting to meet sisters in all the houses as a PNM. Next year, I will be able to facilitate those conversations and help PNMS find their home!
When I got my bid, I was nervous, but the more time I spent with sisters, the more I realized that these people are my home. My sisters have supported and loved me endlessly, and every moment with them is an adventure. When I’m with my sisters, simple things like going to the DCT, running down Eagle Row, or buying groceries become chaotic and fun stories to tell.
I’m actually on my next adventure right now! I’m writing this from an airport as I wait for my flight to see my sorority sister, (and soul sister!) Lizzie, for her birthday on New Years. Ending 2019 and starting 2020 with her makes perfect sense, because she’s part of what made 2019 so special and what I looking forward to most in 2020.
I’m not sure if I believe in fate, but I do believe that I’ve found friends for life. If not by fate, then by a brilliant stroke of luck (and a really amazing recruitment process!!)
