This is our seventh installment of our 2020 Leadership Team testimonies. We asked our Vice President of House Management, Lizzie Meulbroek, to tell us a little bit about her job in the sorority, what it was like to receive her bid, and some of her favorite memories in Delta Phi Epsilon!
Hi! My name is Lizzie Meulbroek. I am a junior, and I’m part of the Dancing Queen member class (Spring 2019). I am so excited to be Delta Phi Epsilon’s 2020 Vice President of House Management!
I was so excited to receive my bid from DPhiE, but I was still unsure if sorority life was for me. I was quickly proven wrong. I knew I was in the right place as soon as two of my sisters, whom at the time I had only known for 3 weeks, surprised me by baking cupcakes for my birthday. The flavor was questionable, but their hearts were in the right place! I know that I have found my home in DPhiE, especially living in the lodge. I can walk into the lodge and instantly I have friends to watch The Bachelor with in the living room, friends to study with at the kitchen table, and friends to have dance parties with in my suite while getting ready for class every morning.
DPhiE has shown me the unconditional love and support of true friendship. I have a countless number of sisters that I know will be there with me not only through the good times, but they will be there for me to lean on during the bad. Delta Phi Epsilon is where I can be unapologetically myself, share my passions, and support others in theirs.
